5 reasons why the focus of Kumkum Bhagya has shifted from Abhi-Pragya to Purab-Disha

Kumkum Bhagya has been one of the most watched shows in the recent times, because of its plot, high spectrum drama, cast and of course the hap hazard storyline.
Watch: Abhi, Pragya romantic dance in ‘Kumkum Bhagya’
Kumkum Bhagya has been one of the most watched shows in the recent times, because of its plot, high spectrum drama, cast and of course the hap hazard storyline which changes according to the convenience of the writer. We have seen the lead characters of the show, i.e. Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya alias Munni (Sriti Jha) cross hurdles to protect their love. We have seen them fight, come close and separate each time (which has now happened for the zillionth time on the show).
Now that Pragya has gone missing, and except for those on the show everyone knows that the girl living with them is a doppelganger, we feel that the focus is shifting from the protagonists to Abhi's friend Purab (Vin Rana) and his newly found love interest Disha. Here are the reasons we listed out behind this sudden shift in main subject:
1- Monotonous plot: The makers of Kumkum Bhagya have repeated the same plot of Pragya's tiff with Abhi and their lovey dovey relationship which ends in hurdles over and over again. After exploiting it too much, we think that the spark that once existed in their relationship has been put off, and so have the viewers. It seems that the viewers of the show are willing to welcome new characters romancing each other on screen.
2- Antagonists: We have been seeing Alia (Shikha Singh) and Tanu (Leena Jumani) going extreme to get rid of their enemy - Pragya and her family. They have gone far enough to have her killed, abducted and create ruckus in her life by all possible means. Having hated them so much over and over again, viewers probably think that they can't mend their ways, so better stop expecting that. Neither do they get punished for what they do, so that better carry on forever. On the other hand, it is frehs to see Purab trying to find out ways to protect the girl, who once saved him from the goons. A new love story is evolving and high five to that.
3- Un-relatable story line: It has been long since the makers have been fooling us weird plots that don't even make any sense in real life. Who gets kidnapped 100 times in a year? Who escapes life each time he/she is face-to-face with death? Who fools the goons each time and drinks with them? Who gets help by Samaritans on the road each time? Well, in the new story line, we don't see all this. Purab is by himself all alone trying to save the girl and we actually get to see some realistic stuff on the show.
4- Unusual plots: As we stated earlier, it has been seen that the writer of the show has had liberty to write and twist the plot according to his convenience anytime, anywhere. When the entire truth of Alia and Tanu was in front of Abhi, he met with an accident and lost his memory and the show was dragged further, storyline got exploited once again. When Pragya dies, her doppelganger appears, hence, stretching the show too far once again.
5- Blame game: Each time you tune into the channel to watch Kumkum Bhagya, either there is a festival celebration or a function at home, which turns deadly each time. Why? Because, either it ends with a blast at a Dusshera celebration or fire in the kitchen or Pragya being locked in cold storage. However, in the back of our minds, we know that the Hero aka Abhi would come and save her each time she gets in trouble. Alia and Tanu have always ruined almost all functions by accusing Pragya of something or the other, and our hero, who has apparently been in love with Pragya also has his doubts. Did you sense love there? Well, we didn't for sure.
